UV sensor and Pics

Hi All,

I have been working with various UV sensors and so far my favorite is the SparkFun UV Sensor Breakout – ML8511. I have tried others but like it best. I dug around and found all of the sketch info I needed from various sources and over the past week have been making little changes here and there. I repurposed an old Radio Shack rain gauge to house the sensor. I was originally using an adafruit sensor and Uno but I now have built a smaller foot print sensor using the nano, the ML8511 and a transmitter (jmr-tx-1) from the RXB6 Receiver/Transmitter pair.  I have a 12 volt power supply running out to the station with various regulated 12 and 5 volt connections for sensors.

My experimental weather stations and projects are at- www.weatheranytime.com

So far it is matching the various reports I am getting from around here. Tweaking will continue.

Arduino and Acurite 5 N 1 Hybrid Weather Station

Welcome to yet another blog about the weather.

I have been running weather stations for more years than I can count and over those years I have spent time tweaking and building more parts than I can name. The biggest issue I have found is getting information with instructions, photos, tweaks. My newest experiment is a hybrid Arduino and an Acurite 5 and 1 Sensor running on this weather site. I have been a big Oregon Scientific fan but lately I have been building my own parts. My goal is to share what I learn in hopes it will help someone else enjoy one of my favorite hobbies.
